FOMS - The Friends of Minack Society was formed following the death of famous author Derek Tangye. Derek and his wife Jeannie lived at the other end of our lane. They left the London rat-race in the 1950s to live an alternative lifestyle at Dorminack, a clifftop farm above Tater Du lighthouse. He later wrote a very successful series of books about their lives, cats, ducks, donkeys and local characters - the popular Minack Chronicles.
